Die Sopranistin Megan Henry stammt aus Iowa City, Iowa – Nordamerikas erster UNSESCO-Stadt der Literatur. Sie begann ihre musikalische Laufbahn als Sängerin und Tänzerin im Musical, u.a. in der Holiday Grande Tour des Steinway Artists „Jim McDonaugh and his Orchestra and Singers“ und bei den Sommarfestspielen „Way Off Broadway“. Sie war Preisträgerin beim 32. Internationalen Gesangswettbewerb der Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg. Gemeinsam mit dem Harfenisten Felix Hahn gewann sie den 3. Preis beim 13ten Internationalen Musikwettbewerb “Suoni d’Arpa” 2024. Auch hatte sie die Ehre mitzuwirken in der 2025 Operettenfrosch gekrönte Produktion von „Märchen im Grand Hotel“ an der Mainfranken Theater in Würzburg.
Sie durfte bereits mit zahlreichen Orchestern auftreten, wie der Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, dem Orchestre Classique de Montreal, dem Orchestre de la Francophonie und Würzburger Philharmoniker, sowie mit Dirigenten wie Ed Spanjaard, Julien Proulx, Simon Rivard, Gabor Hontvari, und Bernhard Forck.
Zu ihre bereits gesungene Rollen zählen Papagena und die zweite Dame in Mozarts „Die Zauberflöte”, Lucia in Brittens „The Rape of Lucretia“, Rachelina in Paisiellos “La Molinara”, Elle in Poulencs „La Voix Humane“, Rosalinde in „La Chauve-Souris“, Gräfin Pepita Inez de Ramirez in Abrahams „Märchen im Grand Hotel“, Savitri in Holsts „Savitri”, Anne in Sondheims „A Little Night Music”, Rosalia in Bernsteins „West Side Story”, und Lady Ella in Gilberts und Sullivans „Patience”. Henry hatte das Privileg, die Uraufführung von SoYoung Kims “Credo” live im Studio 1 des BR mit der Pianistin Chen He zu singen. Sie hat an die Hochschulen in Trossingen, Amsterdam, und Würzburg studiert.

She has sung several roles in opera and musical theater, including as Papagena and the Second Lady in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute,”, Musetta in Puccinis “La Boheme”, Elle in Poulenc’s “La Voix Humaine,”, Lucia in Britten’s “The Rape of Lucretia,” Rachelina in Paisiello’s “La Molinara,” Rosalinde in “Die Fledermaus,” Countess Pepita Inez de Ramirez in Abraham’s “Fairy Tales at the Grand Hotel,” Savitri in Holst’s “Savitri,” Elisetta in Cimarosa’s “Il Matrimonio Segreto,” Anne in Sondheim’s “A Little Night Music,” Rosalia in Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” and Lady Ella in Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Patience.” Henry had the privilege of performing the world premiere of SoYoung Kim’s “Credo” live at Studio 1 of BR with pianist Chen He. She studied in Trossingen, Würzburg, and Amsterdam.
